Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fred Freds (ranked 5297 p4p, 4748 weight class) and Rob Miller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Freds is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Miller.

It looks like Fred Freds has been cut.
Freds lands with a hook. Miller tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Miller closes the distance but Freds moves to the side
and Freds counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Miller misses with a wild body shot.
Freds uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Miller has time to react.
Freds showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Miller.
Freds swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Miller tries to clinch there but Freds circles away.
Freds lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Miller fails with an attempt to clinch.
Miller looks to land a combination but Freds avoids it well.
Freds swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Miller swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Freds counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Miller thinking.

Miller tries to land a knee to the head but Freds blocks with his arms.

Freds lands a left hand that snaps the head of Miller backwards.

An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Freds.

Miller throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Freds blocks it with crossed arms.

Freds throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
Freds lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

Miller looks winded!

Freds is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Miller can't fight it off and eventually Freds manages to take the fight to the floor. Miller looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Freds is standing up over Miller. Miller looks to escape but Freds dives into side control.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Miller can do anything to dispel that myth.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Freds is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Miller is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Freds has hold of Miller's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Miller seems comfortable defending it but Freds has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Miller is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Miller is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Freds couldn't care less - he's delighted!
