PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lukasz Patryk (ranked 5478 p4p, 6278 weight class) and Gildarts Clive (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Clive has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Patryk throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Clive tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Patryk is in Clive's guard.
Clive is looking to stand back up but Patryk counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Clive.

Patryk decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
Clive scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Patryk shoots in and bounces Clive off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Clive looks winded!
Patryk controls from within his opponent's guard.

Patryk has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Patryk stands up from guard. Let's bang!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Clive misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Patryk.
Clive misses with a straight left.
Patryk doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Patryk takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Patryk.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Patryk.
Clive tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops.
A bit of a pause in the action here. Patryk controlling the positon.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Clive trying to control the position but Patryk manages to sink in the hooks.
Patryk is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.

Patryk is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
Clive looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Patryk controls the position.
Clive really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Patryk. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
