Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Will Baker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Oki Yagamoto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Oki Yagamoto!
The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Eddie Farnsworth and Chad Campbell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Baker tries to clinch there but Yagamoto circles away.
Yagamoto fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Baker sprawls well initially but Yagamoto persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Yagamoto looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Baker looks like he's trying to stand up.
Yagamoto escapes and gets back to his feet.
Yagamoto gets a takedown into half guard.
Yagamoto decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
Yagamoto changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Baker looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Baker sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Yagamoto is keen to just control but Baker is a slippery customer.

Yagamoto decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Baker has hold of Yagamoto's hands but Yagamoto slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Baker tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
Yagamoto wants to control but Baker is keeping him busy.

Baker wants to get back to full guard.
Yagamoto stops Baker from getting back to his feet.

Baker is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Yagamoto scores with a couple of nice shots.
Yagamoto is trying to control the action in half guard but Baker is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Baker gets caught flat footed, as Yagamoto shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Yagamoto wants to control from the top but Baker keeps moving.

Yagamoto controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Baker is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Yagamoto is striking from the bottom but he's now found himself mounted! Oh dear - not enough focus on defense there.

Baker goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Yagamoto turns into him and now he's in Baker's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Yagamoto slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Oki Yagamoto dominated that round.
That's time! Baker's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Baker doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Yagamoto counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Yagamoto stands and steps away. Baker gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Baker tries a head kick but it misses.
Yagamoto pushes Baker up against the cage in a clinch.
Yagamoto manages to pull guard.
Yagamoto wriggles free and stands up.

and Yagamoto counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Baker's guard now.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Yagamoto throws a strike but Baker rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Yagamoto fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Baker wants to clinch but Yagamoto slips to the side
and Yagamoto counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Baker's guard now.

Baker has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Yagamoto is working away from the top position though.

Oki Yagamoto showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! And we move into the final round!

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Yagamoto is looking to take a break and control but Baker is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

and Yagamoto counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.

Baker is trying to maintain the position but Yagamoto is very close to passing his half guard.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Yagamoto connects with a nice short shot to Baker's temple.
