Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Taylor Jack (ranked 1172 p4p, 890 weight class) and Nando Vasquez (ranked 134 p4p, 105 weight class). Jack comes to the cage accompanied by Lucid Dreams. Nando Vasquez told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 27 - 16 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Taylor Jack!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 31 - 20 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nando Vasquez!
The judges for this bout are Chris Dean, Francis DeMontford and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vasquez throws a poor cross that misses
and Jack counters with a nice uppercut.
Jack takes one to the side of the head.
Vasquez misses with a jab to the body
and Jack counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Jack moves out of range of the body kick from Vasquez.
Jack keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Vasquez wants to clinch
and Jack counters with a nice low kick that buckles Vasquez's knee momentarily.
Nice defenses there by Jack.
Vasquez misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Jack.
Jack feinted there with a counter leg kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jack lands with a good body shot.
Vasquez blocks a jab.
Vasquez throws a predictable looking body shot
and Jack counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Jack with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Jack misses with a looping left.
Jack takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Vasquez throws out a loose jab but Jack uses good head movement to avoid it.
Jack swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Jack misses with a straight right.
Vasquez throws a hook but Jack avoids it easily.
A counter left hand to the body from Jack misses its target.
Jack does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Vasquez misses with a hook
and Vasquez takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Jack throws a looping overhand right but Vasquez ducks down to avoid it.
A low kick from Vasquez misses
and Jack counters with a huge left! Vasquez is in big trouble! He's backing up but Jack isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Vasquez from any more damage. A dominating finish by Jack!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Taylor Jack!
During a confident post fight interview, Taylor Jack thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
