The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alo throws a sloppy head kick

and Pallaton counters with a single leg into guard. Alo didn't expect that.
Alo wants to control the position but Pallaton says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.
Pallaton definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Pallaton is taking a breather. Alo says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Pallaton is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Alo doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Pallaton.
Alo makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Alo.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Alo wants to stand and escape but Pallaton is having none of it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Pallaton won't allow Alo to sweep him here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Alo can't keep his opponent in guard - Pallaton advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Pallaton is trying to control. Alo wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Alo is looking for a sweep. Pallaton is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Pallaton trying to control the action but Alo is working from the bottom.
Alo tries to roll over but Pallaton keeps him under control.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Pallaton wants to take a breather but Alo is having none of it.
Alo strikes from the bottom but Pallaton uses the opportunity to move to side control.
