Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Alphonse Fuguego!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jereme Christ!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Gwen Towbar and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Christ swats away the attempt to clinch by Fuguego.
Fuguego moves away from the strike by Christ.
Christ comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Fuguego shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
The fighters circle momentarily. Christ darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Fuguego ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Christ moves away.
Fuguego finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Christ uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Fuguego.
Fuguego misses with a left hand
and Christ counters with a nice uppercut.
Fuguego swings and misses with a hook to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Christ pushes Fuguego away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Fuguego gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Fuguego is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Christ will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

A punch lands to the side of Fuguego 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Fuguego ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Christ has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Fuguego takes a swing at Christ's ribcage but misses.
Christ clobbers Fuguego with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Christ moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Fuguego is looking to wear down Christ with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Christ ducks under a wild hook from Fuguego.
Fuguego throws a body shot but no joy.
Christ might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Christ connects with a nice looking jab.
Christ stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Fuguego displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Christ throws out the jab.
Fuguego swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Fuguego connects with a nice short shot to Christ's temple.
Christ is staying active underneath Fuguego, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Fuguego, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
