Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Anton Strålman (ranked 2384 p4p, 1705 weight class) and Hin Areni (ranked 258 p4p, 183 weight class). Strålman kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Three Kings. Areni has chosen Mosaique as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Hin Areni!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Gwen Towbar and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Areni takes one on the button.
Strålman tries to clinch but Areni is having none of it.
Strålman ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Areni moves away.

We've been told by Strålman's head coaches at Dillo's Dojo that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Areni looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Strålman with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Areni is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Strålman is just riding it out for now. Areni eventually gives up the hold.
Areni is nestled in close to Strålman, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Anton Strålman is the new featherweight champion!
After the fight, Anton Strålman was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
