Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 26 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jefferson Murillo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tim Blood!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Cecil Peabody and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Blood has Murillo up against the cage in a clinch.
A frustrated look appears on Murillo's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Blood tries to land a knee to the head but Murillo blocks with his arms.
Blood stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.

Blood escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Blood throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Murillo.

Murillo gets tackled into the cage by Blood. Blood maintains the clinch.

Murillo tightens his grip and picks Blood up, before dumping him to the ground. Blood manages to land in guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Blood utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Murillo is looking to work some ground and pound but Blood has wrist control.
Blood is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Murillo throwing strikes from guard but Blood blocks nicely.
Murillo throws a big elbow that misses.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Blood working for a triangle but Murillo defends it easily.
Blood avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Murillo stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Blood swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Blood looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Murillo is looking to work some ground and pound but Blood has wrist control.
Murillo missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Blood controls Murillo momentarily but Murillo frees himself.
Blood is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Blood is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Blood is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Blood is continuing to stall.
Murillo has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Blood trying to control the position from guard on top but Murillo is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Blood won't allow Murillo to sweep him here.

Murillo looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Blood has picked Murillo up and slammed him! Murillo can't keep hold of the triangle and Blood manages to pass to side control!
You can see the frustration on Murillo's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Blood thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Murillo is looking for a sweep.

Blood working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Murillo is trying to control Blood's posture but Blood avoids it.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Murillo tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Blood is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Murillo is trying to escape and Blood transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Murillo is forced to tap! Nice work there by Blood! Very nice indeed!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:37 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Tim Blood!
Tim Blood decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
