Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Marcus Jackson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ray Johnson!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Trevor Gratis and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Johnson gets a double leg takedown into Jackson's guard.
Jackson is looking to stand back up but Johnson counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Jackson.

Jackson is looking to escape.
Johnson is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Jackson wants to get back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Johnson looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jackson is trying to stand up here but Johnson is controlling him well.

Johnson is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Jackson has managed to free his arm - good work.

Johnson is working for a submission of some sort.
Jackson has hold of Johnson's hands but Johnson slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Johnson prevents Jackson from standing back up.
Johnson is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Johnson stops Jackson from getting back to his feet.
Johnson stalling.

Jackson is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Johnson scores with a couple of nice shots.

Johnson is working for a kimura but Jackson is defending it quite comfortably.
Johnson throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Johnson scoring with strikes to the body and head.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Johnson slows the pace down in half guard.
Jackson pushes Johnson off looking to stand but Johnson dives back in and keeps control.

Johnson is working for a submission of some sort.
Johnson is taking a breather. Jackson says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Johnson is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Jackson is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
