Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Marcio Ramsay! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Peak The Best! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Frank Dennis and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ramsay has a takedown stuffed. Ramsay stuffs the takedown. The Best changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Ramsay tries to avoid it but The Best manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Ramsay to the ground. Ramsay escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. The Best scores a takedown into full mount! The Best lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Ramsay is breathing heavily. The Best tries to control but Ramsay wriggling away. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The Best is stalling here but it's allowed Ramsay to get half guard.
The Best scoring with strikes to the body and head.
That's one minute gone in the round. The Best trying to control from half guard but Ramsay is working away. The Best is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Ramsay on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Ramsay tries to get out of the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. The Best is nestled in close to Ramsay, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. The Best winds up and cracks Ramsay with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The Best is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Ramsay defends it well. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. The Best perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. The Best's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Despite being in the dominant position, Peak The Best just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. The Best throws a half hearted mid kick. The Best moves into range and clinches up with Ramsay. The Best blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Ramsay prevents a takedown attempt there.
Marcio Ramsay has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Peak The Best.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The Best manages to pull guard.
The Best manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Ramsay closes the distance looking to clinch and The Best counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Ramsay has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. The Best is working away from the top position though. The Best perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. The Best working Ramsay over with strikes. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Peak The Best dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

The Best drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Ramsay gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Ramsay moves into the clinch. The Best keeps control of Ramsay as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. The Best tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
The Best fails to pull guard.
Marcio Ramsay has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Peak The Best. Ramsay is looking to break free of the clinch but The Best has double underhooks. The Best managing to block the knees to the body from Ramsay.
The Best can't get the takedown.
Ramsay wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but The Best has him pressed against the cage. The Best breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. The Best shoots for a double leg takedown but Ramsay sprawls well. He's pushed The Best's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. The Best closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. The Best taking a breather here. The Best decides to stand back up. The Best fails with a takedown attempt. The Best tries to keep at a distance but Ramsay has taken the fight into the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The Best jumps guard.
The Best not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
The Best trying to control the position here. The Best is looking to sinch up a triangle. Ramsay throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to The Best's body to avoid the submission. The Best has instead reached around Ramsay's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! The Best arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
