Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Chel Diokno!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Patrice Devereaux!
The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Tarja Halkonen and Roosa Järviläinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diokno throws a sloppy head kick and Devereaux moves out of range easily.
Diokno moves into range and clinches up with Devereaux.
Devereaux tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Diokno just stands there and leans against the cage.
Diokno controlling the action here for a moment.
Diokno breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Devereaux avoids the head kick by Diokno.
Devereaux is looking to clinch.
Diokno pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Devereaux steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Diokno.
Diokno gets a clinch.
Diokno looking to throw knees to the head but Devereaux is blocking nicely.
Devereaux fails to pull guard.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Diokno.
Diokno misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Devereaux.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Devereaux jumps guard but Diokno turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Chel Diokno has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Patrice Devereaux.
Devereaux is trying to pull guard but Diokno has him pressed against the cage.
Devereaux decides to pull guard.
Diokno wants to stand but Devereaux has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Diokno is sitting in close to Devereaux's body. Devereaux has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Diokno is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Diokno is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Devereaux.
