Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Padraig Ahearn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Antun Simunic!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Percy O'Donnell and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ahearn misses the shot to the body.
Ahearn throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
A telegraphed right hand from Ahearn misses the target.
Simunic lands a left and a right that send Ahearn crashing to the mat, dazed. Simunic thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Ahearn is rocked!
It looks like Padraig Ahearn has been cut.
Simunic lunges in with a left hook that violently twists Ahearn head around and knocks him out cold! Simunic hops onto the cage and yells out at the top of his lungs - Yeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaah! They're showing the replay on the big screens now; that was nasty! I hope one of the photographers got a good shot of it.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Antun Simunic!
