The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed right hand from Diggs misses the target.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Ali'i! But no joy.
Diggs shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Ali'i as he avoids it easily.

A little jabbing left from Ali'i on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
A looping hook to the body misses from Ali'i. Diggs does a little dance to reset his feet.
Diggs lands with a kick to the ribs.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Diggs.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Ali'i! But no joy.
Ali'i bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Diggs moves in looking to clinch but Ali'i pushes him off.
Diggs smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Diggs moves out of range of the strikes.
Diggs thumps Ali'i with a low kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Diggs gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Ali'i looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Ali'i lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Diggs or not.
Ali'i throws a punch but it's blocked by Diggs.

Diggs swings away with an uppercut that misses.

Ali'i swings wildly with an uppercut but Diggs uses good head movement to avoid it.
Diggs lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Ali'i breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Ali'i tries a low kick but Diggs avoids it.
Diggs takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Diggs throws a lazy body kick
enabling Ali'i to counter with a crisp jab.
 It looks like Matthew Diggs has been cut.
Diggs steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Ali'i.
Diggs fires out a quick counter leg kick but Ali'i just manages to avoid it.
Diggs instigates a clinch.
Ali'i throws a head punch that misses.
Diggs misses with a short punch on the inside.
Ali'i has a couple of punches blocked by Diggs.
Ali'i fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
A nice left hand lands by Diggs.
Ali'i tries a body shot but Diggs blocks it.
Diggs goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Diggs lands a right hand that snaps the head of Ali'i backwards.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Diggs creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Diggs lunges at Ali'i with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Ali'i's hand.
Diggs digs a good hook to Ali'i's body.

Diggs throws a body kick despite being completely out of range
and Ali'i counters with a straight right hand.
Diggs keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Ali'i sends Diggs crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Ali'i is motioning to the referee to let Diggs up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
 Diggs is rocked!
Diggs lands with a nice body kick.
Oh Diggs is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Diggs rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Ali'i counters with a powerful cross that connects right on the chin and the lights go out! A massive one punch knock out!
