Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Hugh Johnson and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sam slips a jab and a cross from Tryin.
Tryin avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Tryin wants to clinch.
Tryin pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Sam misses with a few strikes there.
Sam circles away from the clinch attempt.
Sam throws an overhand right that lands on Tryin's shoulder, as Tryin tries to avoid the shot.

Sam throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sam fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Tryin on the side of the head.
Dye Tryin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Tryin rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Sam moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Sam throws a right hand that Tryin ducks under and follows up with a left that Tryin also avoids with ease.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Sam had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Tryin is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Sam Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Tryin's back instead.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Tryin has his hands on Sam's head, controlling the position.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Sam accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Sam looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Tryin wants to clinch.
Tryin throws a lazy right hand but Sam sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Tryin will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Tryin throws a leg kick but Sam moved away.
Dye Tryin is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Sam misses with the combination.
Tryin darts in trying to clinch
and Sam counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Sam.

Tryin uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Sam has time to react.

Sam takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Sam lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Tryin circles away quickly and effectively.

and Sam counters with a stiff right hand.

Sam shoots in and bounces Tryin off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Tryin is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
