Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jackson Pollock (ranked 2085 p4p, 2888 weight class) and Ken Vrjalya (ranked 46 p4p, 0 weight class). Pollock comes to the cage accompanied by Free Jazz. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 17 - 13 - 1, fighting out of New York, Jackson Pollock! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ken Vrjalya! The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, John Kavanagh and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Vrjalya walks into a jab. Pollock lands with a right hand. Vrjalya tries for a takedown but Pollock circles away easily and Pollock counters with a lovely straight right hand! Vrjalya looking to score a takedown here. Pollock is defending well but Vrjalya drives through and ends up in Pollock's guard. Pollock is looking to stand up but Vrjalya isn't so interested in that idea. Vrjalya wants to pass the guard but Pollock is keeping the position. Vrjalya drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Pollock dives on top into guard.

That's one minute gone in the round. Pollock tries to stand but Vrjalya is controlling from the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Vrjalya looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Vrjalya has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Pollock can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Vrjalya working for submissions but it's allowed Pollock to get to half guard.
Pollock decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up. Ken Vrjalya seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Vrjalya goes for a double leg but Pollock avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Pollock continues to drive forward. Pollock was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit. Pollock lands an overhand right. The fighters circle momentarily. Pollock darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
It looks like Ken Vrjalya has been cut. Nice jab there from Pollock.

That's two minutes gone in the round. and Pollock counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Vrjalya! He's just covering up as Pollock starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!
