Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fedor Mazepin (ranked 2145 p4p, 1553 weight class) and Oscar Meyer (ranked 287 p4p, 222 weight class). Mazepin comes to the cage accompanied by boom. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 22 - 24 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Fedor Mazepin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 34 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Oscar Meyer!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Nard Betker and Patrick Alders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Meyer manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Mazepin on his heels. He'll look to pass Mazepin's guard now, I'm sure.
Mazepin keeping moving, preventing Meyer from controlling successfully.
Meyer is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Meyer distracts Mazepin with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Mazepin has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Meyer can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Mazepin looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Meyer passes into side control.
Meyer lands a few punches from side control.
Meyer is looking to take a break and control but Mazepin is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Mazepin is trying to improve his position.
Mazepin dodges the ground and pound from Meyer.

Meyer trying to control the action but Mazepin is working from the bottom.
Meyer gets to mount! Mazepin was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.

Mazepin sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Mazepin is squirming around, avoiding Meyer's attempts to control the action.
Mazepin is desperately trying to improve his position but Meyer has a good base and remains in mount.
Meyer lands a big shot there that rocks Mazepin but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Meyer breaks from Mazepin's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Mazepin is working to get back to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Meyer avoids the attempt from Mazepin to control.
Meyer landing strikes, looking to finish!

It looks like Fedor Mazepin has been cut.
Meyer prevents Mazepin from getting the reversal.

Mazepin is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Meyer pulls his head out easily.

Mazepin is staying active underneath Meyer, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Meyer might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Mazepin haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Meyer closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Meyer lands in his opponent's guard.

Mazepin is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Mazepin isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Meyer stacks Mazepin on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Meyer!

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mazepin tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Meyer wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Jeez, Fedor Mazepin's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Fedor Mazepin's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
