Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Aeson Beckley (ranked 5685 p4p, 6194 weight class) and Ren Nishihara (ranked 456 p4p, 477 weight class). The key to victory for Aeson Beckley has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Aeson Beckley! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Ren Nishihara! The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Aleksandr Martynov and Ivan Kurochkin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Beckley fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Nishihara, pushing him back against the cage. Nishihara drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Beckley gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Beckley has Nishihara pushed against the cage. Nishihara tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Beckley just stands there and leans against the cage. Nishihara goes for a takedown in the clinch but Beckley prevents it.
Aeson Beckley has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ren Nishihara. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Beckley is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace. Nishihara wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
That's one minute gone in the round. Beckley effectively controlling the action here. Nishihara blocks an uppercut.
Nishihara tries to break the clinch but Beckley is controlling the position. Nishihara jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Beckley walks away with a smile on his face. Nishihara gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Beckley throws a shot from downtown. Nishihara moves away and avoids it. Nishihara throws out a loose jab but Beckley uses good head movement to avoid it. Beckley fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Nishihara manages to avoid it. Nishihara misses with a wild body shot.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A telegraphed right hand from Beckley misses the target. Beckley is looking light on his feet compared to last time was saw him fight. A punch lands to the side of Nishihara 's head but he takes it in his stride. Beckley misses the shot to the body. Beckley slips a jab and a cross from Nishihara.
Beckley checks a low kick from Nishihara. Beckley is looking to counter punch. Ren Nishihara seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Nishihara looking to score a takedown here. Beckley is defending well but Nishihara drives through and ends up in Beckley's guard. Nishihara controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Beckley is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nishihara pushing down on Beckley's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Nishihara has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Gym Goroshi London. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one. Nishihara prevents Beckley from standing back up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Beckley is refusing to be controlled, as Nishihara sits in half guard. Nishihara wants to work for an arm triangle but Beckley is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Nishihara is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Beckley has managed to free his arm - good work. Beckley looks like he's trying to stand up.
Nishihara is working for a submission of some sort.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Beckley is not content to let Nishihara control the position. Beckley is trying to stand.
Still in half guard, Nishihara seems content to control. Nishihara is trying for a kimura here. Beckley looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Nishihara wins by kimura!
