Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Martin Keown (ranked 23845 p4p, 4884 weight class) and Blake Green (ranked 631 p4p, 525 weight class). Martin Keown is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Martin Keown!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Blake Green!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Richard Clark and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Green gets the takedown into side control.

Green is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Keown knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Green looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Keown tries to improve position but can't.
Green wants to control but Keown is keeping him busy.
Green in side control, throwing shots but Keown defends.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Green tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
Keown being controlled for a moment.
Green trying to control the position but Keown is working away.

Green blocks the strikes from Keown.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Green wants to control but Keown is keeping him busy.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Keown tries to buck Green off but Green is having none of it.
Green tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
Keown is looking for a sweep.

Green goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Keown has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Green but great work by Keown.
You can see the frustration on Green's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Keown decides to stand up, so the ref orders Green to his feet.
Keown misses with a takedown
and Green counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Keown thinking.

Green closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Keown did well to prevent Green getting side control.
Green prevents Keown from improving his position.
Keown is staying active underneath Green, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Keown is positioning himself well to prevent Green advancing to mount.

Green is trying to control. Keown wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Keown is concentrating on defense, preventing Green from advancing position.
Green not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Green moves out of range of the body kick from Keown.
Green is trying hard to land a takedown here. Keown sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Green shoots in looking for a takedown. Keown tries to sprawl out of it but Green keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Keown manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Green shoots and misses
and Keown counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Martin Keown will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Keown misses with a wild combination.
Keown works Green's body with a nice hook.
Keown changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Green tries to avoid it but Keown manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Green to the ground. Green escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Green tries to score a power double leg takedown but Keown sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Green somewhat.
Horrible takedown attempt by Keown or perhaps it was just good defense by Green, which made it look bad.

Keown rushes Green and presses him up against the cage.

Green's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Horrible takedown attempt by Keown or perhaps it was just good defense by Green, which made it look bad.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Martin Keown. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Keown circles away from the clinch attempt.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Green.

Green tries to keep at a distance but Keown has taken the fight into the clinch.
Green tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Keown smiles and moves away.

Green shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Keown is trying to defend but Green finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Keown pushes Green off and gets back to his feet.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Keown forces Green back against the cage and clinches.

Green jumps guard but Keown turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Keown has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Green is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Keown blocks an uppercut.
Green jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Keown walks away with a smile on his face. Green gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Keown shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Green but Green pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Keown shoots in for a takedown but Green shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Green pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Keown closes the distance and clinches.
Green tries to score a body lock takedown but Keown shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Green is trying to pull guard but Keown has him pressed against the cage.
Green is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Green is breathing heavily.

Keown pulls Green into guard.
Keown has control of Green's left arm, preventing Green from doing any damage.
Green wants to get up but he can't break Keown's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Keown has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Green can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Keown had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Green defends it easily.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Keown gets in close and instigates a clinch.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
Keown is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.
Keown throws a knee to the head but misses.
Keown tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Green just stands there and leans against the cage.
Green is pressed up against the cage. Keown has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Green down to the mat. Green avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Green gets a clinch.

Green is trying to pull guard but Keown turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Green looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Keown drops down looking for an ankle pick but Green pulls his leg out and moves away.

As Keown backs off Green throws a huge counter combo but Keown manages to avoid it all.

It looks like Martin Keown has been cut.
Keown moves in looking to clinch but Green pushes him off.
Keown fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Green is out of range.
Green shoots in for a takedown but Keown shows good takedown defense.
Green dives in and grabs Keown's left leg, looking for a takedown. Keown pushes down on Green's head and hops out.
Green leaves Keown with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Green fails with a takedown attempt.
No luck for Green with that takedown attempt.
Green tries for a takedown but Keown circles away easily
enabling Keown to counter with a crisp jab.
Green defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Keown.
Keown tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Green swivels and escapes.
Green fails to land the takedown.

Keown has managed to clinch.

Green has had enough of the clinch but Keown keeps him there for the moment.
Keown prevents a takedown attempt there.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.
Keown changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Green fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Keown will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
And Green tries to counter it with a takedown but Keown pushes his down on his head and steps out.

and Keown connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Green shoots in and drives through. Keown sprawls well.

Green shoots for a takedown but Keown saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Keown keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Keown misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Keown is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Keown will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Keown shoots for a double leg takedown but Green sprawls well. He's pushed Keown's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

I would just about give that final round to Blake Green.
I think Keown has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
