Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Vvv Vvv (ranked 6501 p4p, 6574 weight class) and Sss Sss (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sss Sss has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 23 - 3, fighting out of Las Vegas, Vvv Vvv!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 16 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sss Sss!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Wesley Smith and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Vvv fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Sss is clearly looking to counter with head kicks.
Vvv goes for a double leg but Sss avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Sss continues to drive forward.
Sss wants to take the fight to the mat but Vvv manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Vvv wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Sss has him pressed against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Vvv tries to score a body lock takedown but Sss shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Vvv Vvv. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Sss manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Sss is adopting a defensive guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Vvv showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Sss can do anything to dispel that myth.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Sss has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Vvv wants to stand but Sss has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Vvv gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Vvv feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Vvv wants to get up but he can't break Sss's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Sss is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Vvv looking to sit in guard and control but Sss gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Sss looking to control the position here, rather than advance.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Sss Sss dominated that round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


Sss gets a double leg takedown into Vvv's guard.
Sss controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Let's hope that Sss has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Vvv wants to get back to his feet but Sss is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Sss sitting in guard here, content to control.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Sss has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Sss tries to clinch up.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Vvv.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Vvv controls the position from side control.
Sss keeping his opponent close.
Vvv is looking to take a break and control but Sss is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Sss tries to bench press Vvv off him but Vvv keeps the position.

Vvv has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Vvv closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Sss's guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Vvv is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Vvv has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Sss is proving hard to escape from.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Vvv Vvv dominated that second round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!


Sss closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Vvv did well to prevent Sss getting side control.
Sss slows the pace down in half guard.
Sss misses with a head shot. Vvv uses the momentum to regain guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Vvv is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Vvv Vvv overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Sss looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Sss is continuing to stall.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Vvv is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Sss controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Sss throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Vvv tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Sss is in Vvv's guard.
Vvv is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Sss's corner is telling him to maintain position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
We're seeing a lot of stalling here from Sss.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
Sss shoots in and drives through. Vvv sprawls well.
It looked like Vvv was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Sss.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Vvv drives through with a takedown into Sss's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Vvv trying to stand up but can't free himself from Sss's guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Sss Sss.
I think Sss has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
