Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, John St Clair! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Johnny Lawrence! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Frank Dennis and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lawrence throws a head kick but St Clair moves out of range.
St Clair looks to land a combination but Lawrence avoids it well. Nice cross by Lawrence.
It looks like John St Clair has been cut. Lawrence throws a shot from downtown. St Clair moves away and avoids it. St Clair throws a head kick that Lawrence semi-blocks.
It looks like Johnny Lawrence has been cut. St Clair keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Lawrence. A low kick lands for Lawrence.
St Clair fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Lawrence manages to avoid it. Lawrence misses with a hook. St Clair ducked under it nicely. Lawrence takes a swing at St Clair's ribcage but misses. Lawrence fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Lawrence listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Lawrence looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Lawrence misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Lawrence works over St Clair's head and body with a nice combination. Lawrence scores a flash knockdown with a right hook that drops St Clair to his hands and knees! The ref pushes Lawrence away as he looks to land an illegal blow. St Clair got an extra few seconds to recover there, which could have made all the differences as he stumbles back to his feet. The referee looks into his eyes and decides to allow the bout to continue. Can he survive?! Lawrence cracks St Clair with a perfect right hand that drops him to the mat! St Clair is sitting up but I can't see if he's OK from my position. The referee's count has reached 5,6,7 and St Clair is still not up. Can he make it? 8,9,10! He's out! St Clair could not beat the count!
