Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Red Greene (ranked 1542 p4p, 2965 weight class) and Alexander Grigoriev (ranked 201 p4p, 374 weight class). Red Greene has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Red Greene! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Alexander Grigoriev! The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, David Hoff and Santiago Holmes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Grigoriev misses with a straight left. Greene is looking to counter with a shot to the body. Greene defending well as Grigoriev loads up on a big left hand. Grigoriev closes this distance looking for a takedown but Greene circles away. Greene definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Greene takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Greene tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Grigoriev defends well and Greene ends up having to push Grigoriev into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Grigoriev tries for a takedown. No joy.
Greene is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Grigoriev can't fight it off and eventually Greene manages to take the fight to the floor. Grigoriev looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Grigoriev is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Greene takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Grigoriev landing a few strikes. Grigoriev looks up at the clock and then as Greene takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Grigoriev smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Greene is rocked! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Greene sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Oh Greene is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Grigoriev working over Greene with some ground and pound. Greene looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Greene seems to have got his legs back now. Grigoriev takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Grigoriev lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Alexander Grigoriev showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round! Greene shoots in for a takedown but Grigoriev shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Greene steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Grigoriev. Grigoriev getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Grigoriev manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Greene on his heels. He'll look to pass Greene's guard now, I'm sure. Grigoriev working some strikes from top position. Grigoriev landing with the ground and pound. Grigoriev scoring with punches to the head and body. Grigoriev in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Greene manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Grigoriev manages to get himself to full guard.
Greene wants to pass the guard but Grigoriev is keeping the position. Grigoriev lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Grigoriev postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Grigoriev with a nice head shot there. Grigoriev is sitting in close to Greene's body. Greene has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Grigoriev is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Grigoriev is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Greene.
