Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kai Ayres (ranked 5495 p4p, 4346 weight class) and Roger Uzi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Uzi has chosen Driver's as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Kai Ayres!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Roger Uzi!
The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Tarja Halkonen and Marco Blurström.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Uzi looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Ayres was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Ayres tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Uzi swivels and escapes.

Ayres has taken the fight to the clinch.
Ayres fails to pull guard.
Ayres prevents the takedown attempt.
Ayres managing to block the knees to the body from Uzi.
Ayres taking a break, stalling in the clinch.

Ayres pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Ayres connects with a right hand. Uzi shakes it off.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ayres pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Ayres sets himself, and Uzi steps forward looking for the clinch! Ayres avoids it this time.
Uzi slips a jab and a cross from Ayres.
Uzi appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
Ayres fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kai Ayres. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Horrible takedown attempt by Ayres or perhaps it was just good defense by Uzi, which made it look bad.

Uzi drives through with a takedown into guard.
Ayres is trying to control the position but Uzi postures up.
Uzi slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Ayres throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Uzi seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Ayres has momentary wrist control but Uzi slips an elbow through the middle.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Uzi postures up and lands a big shot to Ayres's brow.
Uzi advances position into side control!
Ayres is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Ayres is looking to improve his position.
Uzi is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Uzi wants to free his trapped foot but Ayres is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Uzi looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Uzi wants to work for an arm triangle but Ayres is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Uzi in particular looking to stall.
Ayres trying to control from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Uzi seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Uzi's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.

Uzi fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Ayres sprawls well initially but Uzi persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Roger Uzi dominated that round.
That's time! Ayres's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Ayres is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Uzi gets a double leg takedown into Ayres's guard.
Uzi content to stall in guard here.
Ayres looking to hit a scissor sweep but Uzi is one step ahead there.
Ayres thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ayres controlling the position.

Uzi postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Roger Uzi has got the better of the ground game so far.
Ayres looking to hit a scissor sweep but Uzi is one step ahead there.

Ayres has his foot on Uzi's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Uzi works his way back into a safe position though.
Uzi keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Ayres's head.
Ayres on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Ayres tries to get out of the position.

Uzi drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Uzi jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Ayres has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Uzi has passed into side control.
Ayres tries to bench press Uzi off him but Uzi keeps the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Uzi is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Ayres is trying to escape and Uzi transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Ayres is forced to tap! Nice work there by Uzi! Very nice indeed!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:26 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Roger Uzi!
Roger Uzi decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
