Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Adelard Desormeaux (ranked 6292 p4p, 4624 weight class) and John Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Desormeaux might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to o canada. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones tries to score a power double leg takedown but Desormeaux sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Jones somewhat.
Desormeaux displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Jones.
Desormeaux seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Jones shoots in for a takedown but Desormeaux shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
A little feinted left hand from Desormeaux on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Adelard Desormeaux has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Jones.
Jones tries to close the distance and clinch but Desormeaux swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A head kick misses from Jones.

Desormeaux went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.

Jones rushes Desormeaux and presses him up against the cage.

Jones wants to clinch up but Desormeaux keeps it at a distance.
Desormeaux definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Jones is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Desormeaux lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Jones circles away quickly and effectively.

Desormeaux slaps away a takedown attempt from Jones, before circling back to the center of the mat.

and Desormeaux comes in over the top with a devastating right hand! Jones stumbles back against the cage, looking to regain his senses but Desormeaux is on him like rabid pit bull! Jones slumps to the ground under a storm of punches and this fight is over!

A less than humble Adelard Desormeaux misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
