Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Robbie Lyle!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mohamed El Shaarawy!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Yves DeLean and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A lazy body kick from El Shaarawy
and Lyle connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
El Shaarawy misses with a takedown attempt
and Lyle counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
El Shaarawy walks straight into a right hand from Lyle - that's dropped him! Lyle jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save El Shaarawy from any more punishment! El Shaarawy complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:16 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Robbie Lyle!
A relieved looking Robbie Lyle thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
