PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Stanislaw Bednarski (ranked 4478 p4p, 3064 weight class) and Hoosein Abdul (ranked 409 p4p, 310 weight class). Bednarski comes to the cage accompanied by KAS:ST - Hell On Earth. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Stanislaw Bednarski!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Hoosein Abdul!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Frank Antenori and Percy O'Donnell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some wild striking there from Abdul.
Abdul uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Bednarski.
Bednarski tries to close the distance and clinch up but Abdul swats him away and circles back towards the center.
We've been hearing reports that Bednarski has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Bednarski tries to score a power double leg takedown but Abdul sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Bednarski somewhat.
Abdul throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Abdul has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
No joy there for Abdul, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Bednarski shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Abdul sprawls well. Abdul wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Bednarski gets slowly back to his feet.

Bednarski shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Bednarski moves in looking to clinch but Abdul pushes him off.
Abdul is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
Bednarski is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Abdul.
Abdul lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Bednarski throws a body punch but Abdul moves out of range.

Abdul throws a nice looking combination but Bednarski bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Bednarski rushes Abdul and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Abdul throws an elbow but it misses.

Bednarski avoids a wild elbow strike from Abdul.
Bednarski struggles to land a body shot inside as Abdul controls his hands.
Abdul lands a shot to the body.
Bednarski is working for takedown but Abdul is calmly controlling the position for now.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Stanislaw Bednarski. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Bednarski lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
Bednarski is working for takedown but Abdul is calmly controlling the position for now.
Bednarski is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.
Bednarski pushes Abdul back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
Bednarski misses with an elbow over the top.

Abdul has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Bednarski is trying to keep an underhook but Abdul manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Bednarski scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Abdul manages to mount him!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bednarski is wriggling around trying to escape.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Abdul lands a big elbow.
Bednarski is looking to improve his position but Abdul isn't that keen on the idea.

Abdul working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
Abdul has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Abdul looking to control and managing it successfully.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Hoosein Abdul dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Bednarski shoots in for a takedown but Abdul shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Bednarski misses with a takedown attempt - Abdul sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Bednarski closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Abdul looks to land a combination but Bednarski avoids it well.
No joy there for Abdul, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Abdul has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Bednarski moves to clinch but Abdul breaks away
and Abdul counters with a straight right hand.
Sloppy strikes from Abdul. Those never looked like landing.
Bednarski shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Stanislaw Bednarski. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Abdul clobbers Bednarski with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Abdul gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Abdul is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Bednarski frees his head nicely. Oh but Abdul has switched to an armbar! Bednarski is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!

Hoosein Abdul bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
