Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Long Hung Dong (ranked 258 p4p, 834 weight class) and Yuri Voronov (ranked 44 p4p, 124 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 24 - 15 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Long Hung Dong!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Yuri Voronov!
The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Ron Honeybunn and Winston Howard.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Voronov throws a poor cross that misses
and Dong counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Voronov ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Dong moves away.
Dong lands a leg kick that knocks Voronov off balance momentarily.
A decent looking cross lands there for Voronov.
Dong loads up on a big right hand but Voronov slips the punch.
Voronov feints and then cracks Dong's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Dong down.
Dong just misses with a punch to the body.
Voronov pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Voronov throws a lazy uppercut
and Dong counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Voronov thinking.
Voronov throws a leg kick which misses Dong's front leg but catches the back leg as Dong tries to avoid it.
Voronov misses with a right hand
and Dong counters with a slapping leg kick.
Dong throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Dong misses with an uppercut
and Voronov cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Dong on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Voronov. Voronov obviously looking to wear him down.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Voronov connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

Voronov drops Dong with a beautiful combination! Dong stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Voronov is looking for the KO!

Dong is rocked!

It looks like Long Hung Dong has been cut.
Voronov throws an uppercut from hell that sends Dong clean off his feet! He's out cold! Voronov stands back and admires his work as he thinks about that KO of the night award that is surely being wrapped up for him back stage.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:17 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Yuri Voronov!
As Yuri Voronov got his breath back, he grabbed the microphone and managed to blurt out the following: Im the king give me my belt '.
