Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Zacarias Amurov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Vladamir Fedotenko! The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Fedor Mirinova and Aleksei Zolotukhin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Amurov on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Fedotenko lands a big shot that drops Amurov! Can he finish him?
It looks like Zacarias Amurov has been cut. Amurov keeping moving, preventing Fedotenko from controlling successfully. Fedotenko tries to stand but Amurov is controlling from the bottom. Amurov is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Fedotenko trying to control the position from guard on top but Amurov is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Amurov being controlled here, momentarily. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Amurov controlling the position. Fedotenko trying to control but Amurov is working from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fedotenko is stalling in the full guard. Amurov pulls Fedotenko in close to his closed guard and prevents Fedotenko from doing any damage or advancing position. Fedotenko throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Amurov is pulling down on Fedotenko's head. It's preventing any offense from Fedotenko, at least for the moment. Amurov preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Fedotenko trying to control the position from guard on top but Amurov is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Amurov is adopting a defensive guard. Amurov is breathing heavily.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Zacarias Amurov just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Fedotenko thuds a left hand into Amurov's body. Fedotenko fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Amurov, pushing him back against the cage. Still in the clinch, Fedotenko scores with a nice short uppercut.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fedotenko scores with a knee to the head.
Fedotenko lands a hook to the side of the head. A right handed body shot lands from Fedotenko.
Fedotenko manages to break the clinch.
Amurov gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Fedotenko.
Amurov is rocked! Fedotenko shoots in for a takedown. He's got it... He's hoisted his opponent over his head and is carrying him over to the other end of the mat. The crowd roars in approval and Fedotenko slams his opponent to the mat. OH, that is naaaaaasty! He's out! Fedotenko lands a punch to his unconscious victim for good measure before the ref has time to call the fight.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Slam). Vladamir Fedotenko!
