In the red corner, competing out of Hilo, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Santos Fontes! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Hilo, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 1 losses; Ben Stone! The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Ryoma Takatsuka and Chris Saunders.
The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Stone gets in close and instigates a clinch. Stone turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Score +4 for clean takedown past guard: Fontes (0) vs (4) Stone Fontes wants to control but Stone postures up. Fontes tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Stone wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Fontes can't do much from the bottom here. Stone is looking to take a break and control but Fontes is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Stone taking a break here but Fontes is having none of it and regains half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Fontes is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Stone pulls his head out easily.

Stone really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Fontes. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Stone in particular looking to stall. Fontes is pressing down on Stone's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Stone is pushing down on Fontes's leg trying to pass to half guard. Fontes is fighting to maintain full guard but Stone has managed to sneak the leg through.
