Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Johnny Tsunami (ranked 4129 p4p, 3758 weight class) and Paulo Esquilo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Paulo Esquilo is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Johnny Tsunami! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Paulo Esquilo! The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, David Hoff and Santiago Holmes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Esquilo looks to throw the jab but Tsunami is out of range. Esquilo throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Tsunami dives in and grabs Esquilo's left leg, looking for a takedown. Esquilo pushes down on Tsunami's head and hops out. Esquilo stuffs the takedown. Esquilo moves into the clinch. Tsunami dodges an elbow strike from Esquilo.
Esquilo pushes off an throws an elbow but Tsunami leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage. Esquilo misses with an elbow strike.

If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Tsunami throws his legs up looking for a submission but Esquilo uses it to pass to side control.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Tsunami is letting Esquilo control him for a moment. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Paulo Esquilo dominated that round. The cut man is working on Johnny Tsunami's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Esquilo throws a hook but Tsunami avoids it easily. Tsunami throws a head kick that misses. Tsunami shoots in and gets a takedown into Esquilo's guard. Esquilo preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Tsunami wants to control from the top but Esquilo keeps moving. Esquilo is pulling down on Tsunami's head. It's preventing any offense from Tsunami, at least for the moment. Tsunami thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Tsunami jumps guard and drags Esquilo to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Esquilo's corner is telling him to maintain position. Tsunami working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Esquilo doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Esquilo manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Esquilo is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Let's hope that Esquilo has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Esquilo must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Esquilo engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Tsunami has his foot on Esquilo's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Esquilo works his way back into a safe position though. Esquilo wants to pass the guard but Tsunami is keeping the position. Esquilo's corner is telling him to maintain position. Esquilo wants to stand but Tsunami is controlling his posture from full guard.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Esquilo does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Tsunami avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Esquilo fails in his attempt to clinch. Tsunami throws a quick counter head kick but Esquilo was just out of range. Tsunami looks to land a combination but Esquilo avoids it well. Tsunami ducks under a wild hook from Esquilo. Tsunami changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Tsunami moves out of range of the leg kick from Esquilo. Esquilo misses with a low kick as Tsunami jumps back. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Tsunami displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Esquilo throws out the jab. Nice sprawl there from Esquilo as Tsunami shoots in. Johnny Tsunami has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Esquilo tries a low kick but Tsunami avoids it.
And that's the end of the fight! Paulo Esquilo comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Esquilo winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
