Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Miguel Santos (ranked 5127 p4p, 4634 weight class) and Leonardo Da Silva (ranked 566 p4p, 543 weight class). Da Silva has chosen 300 Violins Orchestra as his entrance music. Leonardo Da Silva has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Miguel Santos! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Leonardo Da Silva! The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Chad Campbell and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Da Silva throws a combination that misses and Santos moves into the clinch. Santos is trying to pull guard but Da Silva turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Santos lands with a right to the head. Santos tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Da Silva smiles and moves away.
Santos uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Da Silva.
Santos throws the kick towards the body but Da Silva avoids it. Leonardo Da Silva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Santos shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Da Silva as he avoids it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Miguel Santos. That's going to take a lot out of him. Santos wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Da Silva lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
It looks like Miguel Santos has been cut. Da Silva looks to land a combination but Santos avoids it well. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Da Silva scores with a hook to the body. Santos takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Da Silva jabs Santos right on the nose. Santos blinks but takes it well. Da Silva stuffs the takedown attempt from Santos. Santos gets slowly back to his feet. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Da Silva swings and misses with a shot to the body and Santos counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
That's one minute gone in the round. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Santos. Da Silva is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Santos jabs at Da Silva's body. Da Silva throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Santos moves into the clinch. Da Silva wants to break free but Santos has control.
Santos pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Santos misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Santos shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Da Silva but Da Silva pushes him off and we're back to square one. Santos on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Da Silva throws a series of punches but Santos moves out of range. Santos closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Santos is looking to take this one to the mat. Santos keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Da Silva's efforts to push away. Santos breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Da Silva misses with an uppercut. Da Silva looks to land a right hand but Santos moved out of range. Santos is looking to chop away at Da Silva's legs. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Santos dodges the punch combination from Da Silva.
It looked like Santos was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Da Silva misses with a wild body shot. Santos tries for a takedown but Da Silva sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Da Silva lands with a shot to the body. Santos gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Santos is trying to pull guard but Da Silva turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Da Silva gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Santos.
Santos lands a hook that snaps the head of Da Silva backwards. Da Silva stops a takedown attempt from Santos.
Da Silva wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Santos stalls. Santos pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Da Silva throws a right hand that misses
enabling Santos to counter with a crisp jab. Santos keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Santos. Da Silva is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Santos. Da Silva lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends Santos sprawling to the canvas. Da Silva follows him down, looking for the kill. Can Santos hang on? The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Santos is looking to improve his position.
Da Silva is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Leonardo Da Silva dominated that round. The cut man is working on Miguel Santos's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. Da Silva swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Santos counters by moving into the clinch. Santos changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Da Silva fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Santos shoots in looking for a takedown but Da Silva manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Santos's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Santos has closed the distance and engaged Da Silva in a clinch.
Santos escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Santos looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Da Silva is fending him off so far but Santos persists. Nope, Da Silva circles away and we're back to standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Miguel Santos. That's going to take a lot out of him. Da Silva missing with a left hand there. Santos was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Da Silva has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Da Silva misses with a jab to the body
and Santos counters with a two punch combo. Leonardo Da Silva seems to be getting the better of the standup. Santos fails with a takedown attempt from distance. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Da Silva moves into range and connects with a jab. Santos moves into range and clinches up with Da Silva. Santos is looking for a takedown. Santos has Da Silva pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Da Silva manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Da Silva drops his shoulder and cracks Santos with a huge uppercut! Santos goes down! Can Da Silva finish him?
Santos is rocked!
Miguel Santos's cut is getting worse. Da Silva stands and steps away. Santos gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Oh Santos is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Da Silva fakes the body blow, causing Santos to drop his hands! Left hook to the temple! Santos goes stiff, and falls face first into the mat. Goodnight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:20 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Leonardo Da Silva! Leonardo Da Silva decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
