Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Roberto Gaviria (ranked 4533 p4p, 4678 weight class) and Onur Demir (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gaviria comes to the cage accompanied by The Beast. Demir is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Eva&Mia. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Roberto Gaviria! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Onur Demir! The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Luis Engracia and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gaviria avoids the head kick by Demir.
As Demir looks to move away, Gaviria throws a big counter combo but Demir just gets out of the way. Demir drives through with a takedown into Gaviria's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Gaviria trying to keep a closed guard but Demir is proving a slippery customer.
Gaviria wants to sweep but no luck. Gaviria being controlled here, momentarily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Let's hope that Demir has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. It looks like Demir might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Demir forces his way into half guard. Gaviria wants to stand back up but Demir manages to pass into side control.
Demir remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Demir tries to move into full mount but can't pass Gaviria's legs. Gaviria seems a little lost for a moment, as Demir dominates the positioning. An elbow from Demir crashes against the mat.
The referee asks Demir politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Demir prefers to stall for the moment though. Gaviria wants to get back to his feet.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Demir scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Gaviria is looking to get back to his feet here but Demir is keeping cool and he's managed to take Gaviria's back.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Demir working for the choke. Demir trying to secure his dominant position for a moment - making sure Gaviria doesn't escape. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Gaviria is trying to defend against the choke here but Demir has an arm under his chin. This one might not last much longer. Demir Tightens the hold and Gaviria taps out furiously! Demir displays superior BJJ to win the fight.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Onur Demir! An out of breath Onur Demir thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career. In defeat, Roberto Gaviria stepped up to the mic, saying 'Not how i wanted the day to go but we learn, we adapt. We go again!'.
