Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Military Industrial Complex (ranked 2389 p4p, 2383 weight class) and Jake Askren (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Complex's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Rusty Cage - Johnny Cash. Jake Askren is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 27 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Military Industrial Complex!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 8 - 1, fighting out of London, Jake Askren!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, George Francis and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Askren on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Complex seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Complex lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Askren checks a leg kick.
Askren has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Complex finds it's way round the side to connect with Askren's head.
Nice shot lands for Complex.
Complex connects with a leg kick.
Askren scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Askren checks the leg kick nicely there.
Askren takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Askren falls off balance throwing a combination
and Complex counters with a straight right hand.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Complex does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Askren misses with a right hand
and Complex connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Askren lands with a nice combination. Complex backs away looking to recover.
Askren moves out of range of the body kick.
Sloppy strikes from Askren. Those never looked like landing.
Complex scores with a jab to the jaw.

A counter left hand to the body from Complex misses its target.
Askren bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Complex moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Jake Askren seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Askren tries to clinch there but Complex circles away.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Askren has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Complex moves out of range as Askren strikes.
Complex is looking to counter punch.
Askren waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Complex.
Complex cracks Askren with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Complex slips a jab and a cross from Askren.
Complex lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Complex lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Complex connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

Complex scores with a sloppy right hand. Askren should have avoided that one.
Askren misses with a combination
and Complex counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Complex connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Askren's hands.
Complex throws a looping overhand right but Askren ducks down to avoid it.

As Askren backs away, Complex returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.

Complex bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Askren's head.

Complex tried to counter with a leg kick but Askren avoided it.

Askren uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Complex.
Askren lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Complex, as that shot connected.

Complex looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger.
Complex moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.

Askren tries to bum rush Complex with a series of wild strikes but Complex uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Askren throws a right hand that misses
and Complex counters with a lovely shot to the body.
A nice leg kick lands there from Complex.
Sloppy strikes from Askren. Those never looked like landing.
Complex lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Complex's jab looks to have found its range, popping Askren under the eye.
Askren throws a nice looking combination but Complex bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Complex appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick.

Complex lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Complex throws a low kick but it's checked well by Askren.
Despite the aggression on Askren's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Complex scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.

Complex smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.

Complex swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Askren throws a combination. Complex tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Askren pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Complex back to the cage. Askren follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Complex scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Askren doesn't seem bothered though.

Askren might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Jake Askren is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Complex lands a nice leg kick that just misses Askren's sensitive parts.
Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with each other but Askren might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Complex has got the better of the exchanges.

Askren takes one on the chin but seems OK.

Askren decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Askren wants to pass to mount but Complex is defending the position.
Complex trying to control but Askren postures up.

Askren throws a strike but Complex manages to get a kimura sweep and he's found himself on top with the kimura half locked in! This would be a real turnaround! He's torquing it... Will Askren tap??? YES! He's tapped! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:52 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Military Industrial Complex!
An out of breath Military Industrial Complex thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
