PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Bugg Nevans (ranked 5364 p4p, 4590 weight class) and Jon Anderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Nevans might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Harley Gabbard - This Train Is Going To Nashville. Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Jon Anderson enters the cage!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nevans's corner calls for a 1-2. Nevans obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

It looks like Jon Anderson has been cut.
Nevans lands a jab to the nose.

Nevans throws a left and a right that both miss

and Anderson moves into the clinch.
Anderson jumps guard but Nevans stands there with Anderson around his waist. Anderson gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Anderson is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Nevans can't fight it off and eventually Anderson manages to take the fight to the floor. Nevans looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Nevans has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Anderson is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Nevans.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Nevans had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Anderson defends it easily.

Anderson has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Nevans to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Anderson is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Nevans pulls down on the head and he's put Anderson to sleep! This one is all over!
