Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Purple Aki (ranked 740 p4p, 1319 weight class) and Momofuku Ando (ranked 107 p4p, 178 weight class). Ando has chosen Pot Noodle Patience as his entrance music. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Momofuku Ando!
The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Winston Alpacca and Peter Branson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ando throws an off balance right hand
and Aki counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Aki in particular looking to stall.
Ando is looking to escape.
Aki is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Aki lands with a punch from half guard.
Ando is trying to stand back up but Aki is controlling him
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Aki has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Ando tries to kick Aki off but Aki keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Ando on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.

Ando tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Aki manages to move to mount!
Aki postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Ando looks a forlorn figure.

Ando wants to get back to his feet.
Aki is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Ando really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Aki. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Aki lands a big shot to the head and Ando winces in pain. He's tapped out due to strikes!

Purple Aki took to the mic after the fight and begged the organizational hierarchy for a shot at the title.
Momofuku Ando spoke after the fight, saying 'Stand and bang next time you COWARD!'.
