Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Roger Penrose (ranked 607 p4p, 1893 weight class) and Akil Paschal (ranked 16 p4p, 69 weight class). This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the super heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Roger Penrose! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Akil Paschal! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Sandra Marshall and Santiago Holmes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Paschal takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards. Paschal drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Paschal tries to move to mount but Penrose blocks the move with his legs. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Penrose has one of Paschal's arms on lockdown, trying to prevent him from doing any damage. Penrose tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Paschal wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Paschal tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Paschal has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. That's one minute gone in the round. Paschal escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Penrose gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Penrose has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Penrose stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Paschal swivels though and keeps the full guard. Penrose seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Paschal looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Penrose wants to pass the guard but Paschal is keeping the position. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Paschal can do anything to dispel that myth. Paschal is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Paschal lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Penrose preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Paschal pushes down on Penrose's leg and manages to get into half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Paschal wants to control but Penrose is keeping him busy. Paschal is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Penrose sees it coming and defends easily. Paschal thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Penrose is trying to control but can't.
Penrose is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment. Paschal is looking to advance position but Penrose won't allow it. Paschal missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Paschal not doing much here.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Penrose is staying active underneath Paschal, who seems content to just control the action from this position. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Akil Paschal dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Penrose lands a right hook to the body.
Akil Paschal is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. An inside leg kick from Paschal misses. And Penrose counters with a quick kick to the body but Paschal blocks it. Penrose bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Paschal's head backwards. Paschal tries for a takedown but Penrose circles away easily and Penrose counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Paschal misses with a double jab
and Penrose scores with a counter punch that sends Paschal to the canvas! Penrose smells blood - he's punishing Paschal with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Paschal has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:27 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Roger Penrose! Roger Penrose is the new super heavyweight champion! A relieved looking Roger Penrose thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
