Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Sensai Kuragi!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Leandro Narloch!
The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Santiago Holmes and David Hoff.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kuragi with a poor takedown
and Narloch counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Narloch throws out a loose jab but Kuragi uses good head movement to avoid it.
No luck for Kuragi with that takedown attempt.
A little jabbing left from Narloch on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Narloch lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Kuragi fails with a takedown attempt.
Narloch looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sensai Kuragi. That's going to take a lot out of him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Narloch throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Kuragi drops down looking for a counter takedown but Narloch sprawls and moves away.
Kuragi shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
enabling Narloch to counter with a crisp jab.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Kuragi avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Kuragi uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Narloch.
Kuragi definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Narloch misses with an uppercut. Kuragi saw that one coming.
Leandro Narloch is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Kuragi goes for a double leg but Narloch avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Narloch continues to drive forward.

Kuragi jumps into guard, dragging Narloch to the mat.
Narloch wants to control from the top but Kuragi keeps moving.
Narloch must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Narloch is posturing up here but Kuragi has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Narloch tries to roll out but it's too tight and Narloch has to tap! Slick submission there by Kuragi!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Sensai Kuragi!
