Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Buzz Kill!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nurlan Kovaleva!
The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Steve Erwin and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kovaleva darts in looking for a takedown but Kill gets double underhooks and turns Kovaleva into the cage.
Kovaleva fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Buzz Kill has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nurlan Kovaleva.
Kill goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Kovaleva with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Kill to score with a decent uppercut.

Nurlan Kovaleva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kill keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Kill changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Kovaleva looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Kovaleva felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Kovaleva gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Kovaleva apologises and we restart here on the feet.

Kill throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Kovaleva's waist but Kovaleva gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Kill off to one side.

Horrible takedown attempt by Kovaleva or perhaps it was just good defense by Kill, which made it look bad.
