Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Magby Mahrez (ranked 1858 p4p, 2837 weight class) and Karsten Koererlaerer (ranked 204 p4p, 293 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Magby Mahrez! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 11 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Karsten Koererlaerer! The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Albert Achterberg and Patrick Alders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Koererlaerer drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Mahrez has an active guard here but Koererlaerer has managed to pass into half guard.
Koererlaerer looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Mahrez with the active half guard here but Koererlaerer passes nicely into side control. Mahrez is looking to reverse the position. Koererlaerer wants to control but Mahrez is keeping him busy. Koererlaerer landing a few strikes. Mahrez tries to get back to half guard but can't. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Koererlaerer working the body and head with strikes. Koererlaerer is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Mahrez has escaped the position, nice work there. Mahrez tries to buck Koererlaerer off but Koererlaerer is having none of it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mahrez's coaches at The Scrap Squad have been working on his defensive grappling in preparation for this fight so let's see if he can get out of this tricky position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Koererlaerer is looking to take a break and control but Mahrez is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Mahrez seems a little lost for a moment, as Koererlaerer dominates the positioning. Koererlaerer lands a nice forearm strike. Mahrez on the wrong end of some ground and pound. Mahrez tries to get back to half guard but can't. Mahrez taking punishment in the form of punches.
Mahrez is working to avoid the ground and pound but Koererlaerer connects with a decent elbow. Mahrez tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Koererlaerer wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Mahrez is working hard here to advance position. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Mahrez tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Koererlaerer presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mahrez in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Koererlaerer cracks Mahrez with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Koererlaerer breaks from Mahrez's wrist control and lands an elbow. Mahrez is wriggling around trying to escape.
Koererlaerer looking to finish Mahrez with some ground and pound. This is bad for Mahrez! Koererlaerer working the ground and pound effectively.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Koererlaerer lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Mahrez is rocked! Koererlaerer unloading with bombs! Oh Mahrez is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Koererlaerer cracks Mahrez with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Mahrez is trying to escape the mount.
Koererlaerer loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Mahrez scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Koererlaerer land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Koererlaerer stands and salutes the crowd.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Karsten Koererlaerer! Karsten Koererlaerer really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Altitude Clothing logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
