Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ray Okino (ranked 3939 p4p, 5076 weight class) and Park Sun Yin (ranked 0 p4p, 415 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Ray Okino has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Ray Okino seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ray Okino! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Park Sun Yin! The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Daniel Franklin and Winston Alpacca.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sun Yin closes this distance looking for a takedown but Okino circles away. Sun Yin shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Okino sprawls well. Okino wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Sun Yin gets slowly back to his feet. Sun Yin throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Okino's waist but Okino gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Sun Yin off to one side. Ray Okino has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Park Sun Yin. Sun Yin stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Sun Yin looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Okino is fending him off so far but Sun Yin persists. Nope, Okino circles away and we're back to standing. Sun Yin throws a solid leg kick but Okino takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Sun Yin. Okino takes the fight into the clinch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sun Yin has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Okino is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Okino breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Okino stuffs the takedown attempt from Sun Yin. Sun Yin gets slowly back to his feet. Okino went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sun Yin is looking to clinch but Okino is avoiding it.
Okino swats away the attempt to clinch by Sun Yin. Sun Yin misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Park Sun Yin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A lazy body kick from Sun Yin so Okino counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Sun Yin being controlled here, momentarily. Okino throwing strikes from guard but Sun Yin blocks nicely. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Okino engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sun Yin is looking for a triangle but Okino pushes his legs off easily.
Sun Yin looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Sun Yin can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Okino controls the pace. Okino knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Sun Yin on the ground. Okino postures up.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Okino decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Sun Yin looks to clinch and Okino counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Sun Yin! Okino working away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Okino trying to control the position but Sun Yin is working away. Okino creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. Okino decides to stand up, so the ref orders Sun Yin to his feet. A head kick by Sun Yin misses and Okino counters with a shoot takedown. Sun Yin fights it but they end up in guard. Sun Yin pushes Okino off and scrambles back to his feet.
Sun Yin closes the distance but Okino moves to the side and Okino cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Okino fakes the leg kick and cracks Sun Yin in the body. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Sun Yin looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Okino is fending him off so far but Sun Yin persists. Nope, Okino circles away and we're back to standing. Okino throws a series of punches but Sun Yin avoids them all with ease.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Okino scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Okino takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Sun Yin manages to get to full guard.
Sun Yin looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Sun Yin is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Okino postures up.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Ray Okino dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Sun Yin showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Okino.
Sun Yin dives in for a single leg takedown but Okino sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Okino throws a hook but Sun Yin blocks it. Okino clinches up with Sun Yin and pushes him back against the cage. Okino breaks the clinch.
Okino is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Sun Yin can do to turn this around? Sun Yin tries to clinch but Okino is having none of it. Sun Yin shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Okino pinned against the cage. Okino gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Okino misses with a two punch combination.

That's one minute gone in the round. Sun Yin looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Sun Yin looks to throw a body kick and Okino counters with a single leg into guard. Sun Yin didn't expect that. Sun Yin manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage. Okino is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Sun Yin to keep the fight standing. Sun Yin tries to pull guard but Okino forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Okino stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Okino is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Sun Yin can't fight it off and eventually Okino manages to take the fight to the floor. Sun Yin looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Okino accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Okino working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Sun Yin keeping moving, preventing Okino from controlling successfully. Okino gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. No luck with that takedown attempt from Sun Yin. A lazy body kick from Sun Yin so Okino counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Okino thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sun Yin is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Okino trying to control but Sun Yin is working from the bottom. Sun Yin is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Sun Yin wants to control the position but Okino says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard. Sun Yin is looking for a sweep. Okino is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Okino is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Sun Yin sees it coming and defends easily. Sun Yin is pressing down on Okino's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Sun Yin looking to control.
Okino in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Sun Yin keeping moving, preventing Okino from controlling successfully.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Okino moves into the clinch. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Ray Okino dominated that second round. That's time! Okino's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round! Okino misses with a wild body shot. Sun Yin throws a counter combo. Sun Yin's corner calls for a 1-2. Sun Yin obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Okino moves out of range of the body kick. Ray Okino is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Sun Yin moves in looking to clinch but Okino pushes him off. Sun Yin shoots in but no luck this time. Okino seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter. Okino closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Sun Yin quickly recovers to half guard. Sun Yin wants to get back to full guard. Okino wants to take a breather but Sun Yin is having none of it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Okino takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Sun Yin tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Okino has advanced to mount. Uh oh.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sun Yin tries to hold on but Okino pushes him away. Sun Yin gets back to half guard. Sun Yin wants to control but Okino is keeping busy.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Okino is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Sun Yin defends it well. Sun Yin is looking to escape. Sun Yin misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Okino tries to pass the half guard into mount. Sun Yin knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Okino is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Sun Yin wants to clinch up but Okino keeps it at a distance. Sun Yin closes the distance and clinches up with Okino, looking for a takedown. Sun Yin pushes Okino against the cage but Okino circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Okino closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Sun Yin is trying to escape back to his feet but Okino uses the scramble to pass into side control.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Sun Yin has a takedown stuffed. Okino half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Ray Okino has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Park Sun Yin. Okino fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Sun Yin sprawls well initially but Okino persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Sun Yin missing with punches from the bottom.
Sun Yin is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Okino scores with a couple of nice shots. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Okino sitting and controlling from the half guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Sun Yin throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
And that's the end of the fight! Ray Okino showed his dominance in that final round. Well Okino has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
