Oneeye is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by 300 Theme. Sam Wheat could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Aristodemus Oneeye's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wheat pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Wheat lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
A big head kick from Wheat and Oneeye is sent sprawling to the canvas!

It looks like Aristodemus Oneeye has been cut.
Oneeye wants to sweep but no luck.
Oneeye is still in real trouble! Can Wheat finish him?

Oneeye is looking for a triangle but Wheat pushes his legs off easily.
Oneeye keeping moving, preventing Wheat from controlling successfully.
Oneeye seems to have recovered his senses.

Oneeye looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Wheat throws a big right hand that misses.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Oneeye has his foot on Wheat's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Wheat works his way back into a safe position though.

Oneeye had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Wheat is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Oneeye Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Wheat's back instead.

Oneeye is trying to stick to Wheat's back but Wheat is turning into Oneeye. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Oneeye's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Wheat.

Oneeye has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Wheat can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Oneeye has an active guard here but Wheat has managed to pass into half guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Wheat trying to control from half guard but Oneeye is working away.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Oneeye can do anything to dispel that myth.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
A head kick lands from Wheat that sends Oneeye to the canvas. Oneeye tries to scramble back to his feet but Wheat brings him back down into side control.

Wheat tries to advance to mount but Oneeye denies him.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Wheat.
Wheat lands a high kick to the side of Oneeye's head that stuns him and send him tumbling down to the canvas! Wheat dives into guard, looking to finish.
Wheat has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Wheat wants to pass the guard but Oneeye is keeping the position.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Wheat accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Oneeye throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Wheat escapes and throws Oneeye's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Wheat stands up and we're back to a striking position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Wheat moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Sam Wheat dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Aristodemus Oneeye's cut.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Wheat connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Wheat throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Oneeye.
Sam Wheat is winning the standup battle so far.
Wheat pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Oneeye blocks a head kick by Wheat.
Wheat lands a head kick. Oneeye smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

Wheat gets caught flat footed, as Oneeye shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Oneeye has gone for a leg lock! Wheat slips out almost immediately though and dives into Oneeye's guard.
Wheat stays in close to Oneeye's body and controls the position.
Wheat passes into half guard.
Oneeye is looking for a sweep. Wheat is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Oneeye is breathing heavily.
Wheat looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Wheat is controlling the pace.

Oneeye has guillotine here! It looks pretty tight! Could this be all over! No, Wheat escapes and passes into side control at the same time. Nice work there by Wheat!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Wheat is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Oneeye's shoulder. That is not cool.
Wheat wants to lay and pray for a moment but Oneeye keeps working.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Wheat is looking to slow Oneeye down with leg kicks.
Wheat lands a head kick!
Wheat throws a sloppy head kick and Oneeye moves out of range easily.

Wheat throws a leg kick which misses Oneeye's front leg but catches the back leg as Oneeye tries to avoid it.

Wheat lands a nice looking kick to the body. Oneeye takes a step back to recover.
Wheat lands a nice leg kick that just misses Oneeye's sensitive parts.
A head kick from Wheat lands but Oneeye takes it in his stride.

Oneeye takes a kick to the side of the head.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Oneeye crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Wheat - the referee stops the clock and Oneeye gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Wheat. Oneeye manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Wheat lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

Oneeye is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Wheat's half guard.

Oneeye is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Wheat moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Oneeye postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Wheat is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Oneeye, into his guard.

Wheat stalling.

Wheat is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Oneeye!

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Wheat takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Oneeye fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Wheat sprawls well initially but Oneeye persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Oneeye looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Wheat kicks Oneeye off and gets back to his feet.
Sam Wheat is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Oneeye walks into a left hand.
Wheat misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Wheat lands with a kick to the temple. Oneeye shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Aristodemus Oneeye has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Sam Wheat is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Wheat. Oneeye shrugs it off though.

Sam Wheat showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Wheat, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
