Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Hjallis Kalske!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, James Atkins and Colin Fotheringham.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kalske looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Durand misses with a lunging right hand
enabling Kalske to counter with a crisp jab.
Kalske shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Durand as he avoids it easily.
Durand throws a looping overhand right but Kalske ducks down to avoid it.
And Kalske tries to counter it with a takedown but Durand pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Durand throws the left hand but Kalske avoids the punch easily.
Kalske tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Durand looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Durand missing with a left hand there. Kalske was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Good work by Durand as he checks the leg kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Durand displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Kalske.
It looked like Durand wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

Jules Durand has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hjallis Kalske.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Durand lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Sloppy strikes from Durand. Those never looked like landing.

Kalske throws a looping overhand right but Durand ducks down to avoid it.

Kalske shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Durand pinned against the cage. Durand gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Kalske lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Durand, as that shot connected.

Durand paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

Hjallis Kalske seems to be getting the better of the standup.

and Kalske counters with a good, hard body kick but Durand shrugs it off.
Kalske throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Nice straight punches there by Kalske. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Kalske.

Kalske lands a big uppercut and Durand crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Durand looks OK. Kalske waves Durand back to his feet!

Durand looks to land a right hand but Kalske moved out of range.
Oh Durand is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Durand throws a push kick but Kalske slaps the foot to one side.
Kalske with the counter takedown but Durand avoids it easily.
Durand seems to have got his legs back now.
Durand is starting to get sloppy and is letting his hands down. Kalske just took advantage and landed a stinging jab. Oh! Now a right hook, right on the button! Durand has gone limp and this one is over!

A relieved looking Hjallis Kalske thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
