Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ruben Flijers (ranked 4036 p4p, 3856 weight class) and Kill Shot Jackson (ranked 492 p4p, 473 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 8 - 0, fighting out of London, Kill Shot Jackson!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, James Atkins and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Flijers lands with a good body shot.
The fighters circling - Flijers throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Jackson! But no joy.
Flijers fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Jackson manages to avoid it.
Flijers sizes up Jackson with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

Jackson takes the fight into the clinch.

Jackson tries to land a knee to the head but Flijers blocks with his arms.
Flijers definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

It looks like Ruben Flijers has been cut.
Flijers lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Jackson backwards.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Jackson has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Jackson is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Jackson is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Flijers has his hands clasped together but Jackson extends and breaks Flijers's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Jackson.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Kill Shot Jackson!
In his post fight interview, Kill Shot Jackson started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
