Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chad Billingsly (ranked 3984 p4p, 2146 weight class) and Joshua Floyd (ranked 471 p4p, 284 weight class). The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 7 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Chad Billingsly!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Joshua Floyd!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, James Ackerman and Richard Clark.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Billingsly.
Floyd tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Billingsly manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Floyd has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

We've been hearing good reports from Billingsly's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Billingsly tries to close the distance and clinch but Floyd swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Floyd appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
Floyd leaves Billingsly with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Well Floyd has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
