Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Zalt Gaanja (ranked 923 p4p, 1065 weight class) and Chris Coryatt (ranked 140 p4p, 159 weight class). Gaanja comes to the cage accompanied by Nathan Evans - Wellerman. Coryatt has chosen Slim Thug - Welcome 2 Houston as his entrance music. Zalt Gaanja has the better chin. Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Mauricio Rocha and Paulo Santos.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gaanja fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Coryatt avoids it really well and circles away.
Coryatt ducks under a wild hook from Gaanja.
Coryatt swings for the body but Gaanja moves out of range.
Gaanja was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Coryatt tries to bum rush Gaanja with a series of wild strikes but Gaanja uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Gaanja half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.

Gaanja looks to score with a jab to the body but Coryatt is just out of range.

Coryatt's coach down at Kalashnikov ELITE MMA Gym was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Coryatt's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Gaanja takes a swing at Coryatt's ribcage but misses.
Gaanja throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Coryatt takes one on the chin but seems OK.
