Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Zimmer Zubov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Lex Durst! The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Bruno Lombardi and Franklyn Lucas.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Durst rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Zubov moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Durst lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Zubov throws the left hand but Durst avoids the punch easily. Durst lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. Durst will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Zubov takes the fight into the clinch. Zubov jumps guard and drags Durst to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Durst prevents Zubov from getting back to his feet. Zubov looking for a sweep. Not yet Zubov, not yet. Durst really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Zubov. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Zubov bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Durst's guard. Durst is looking to stand up but Zubov isn't so interested in that idea. Zubov scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Durst looking for a sweep. Not yet Durst, not yet. Zubov trying to control the position from guard on top but Durst is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Zubov slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Zubov throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Durst works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Zubov stops Durst from standing up. Durst will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Zubov controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Durst keeping moving, preventing Zubov from controlling successfully. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Zubov won't allow Durst to sweep him here. Zubov makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Zubov slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Zubov trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Zubov scoring with punches to the head and body. Zubov won't allow Durst to sweep him here. Durst looks winded! The fight stays on the outside here - Zubov looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Durst lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Zubov backs up against the cage.
Zubov closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Zubov lands in his opponent's guard. Zubov trying to control the position from guard on top but Durst is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Zubov postures up and lands a big shot to Durst's brow. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Zimmer Zubov dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.
Zubov fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Durst sprawls well initially but Zubov persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Zubov is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Zubov is thwarting Durst's attempts to control the position. Durst is refusing to be controlled, as Zubov sits in half guard. Zubov passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Durst! Zubov lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Zubov lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Durst tries to lock up and control but Zubov gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Zubov scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Durst?
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Durst is looking to improve his position but Zubov isn't that keen on the idea. Zubov lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Durst is rocked! Zubov looking for a guillotine from mount but Durst is having none of it. Durst is still in real trouble! Can Zubov finish him? Zubov has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Durst is trying to stand up. Durst is breathing heavily. Durst takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Zubov's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.
