Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pedro Del Dodo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Texas Pete (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Del Dodo might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Out of my way. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Pedro Del Dodo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Texas Pete!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Robert Twigg and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Pete. Del Dodo shrugs it off though.

Del Dodo gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Pete scores with a hook to the body.
Del Dodo tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Pete just stands there and leans against the cage.
Pete takes a shot to the head.
Del Dodo is struggling to control the position.
Pete tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Del Dodo's elbow.
Del Dodo jumps guard but Pete stands there with Del Dodo around his waist. Del Dodo gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Del Dodo has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Pete is trying to keep an underhook but Del Dodo manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Del Dodo is looking to advance position but Pete won't allow it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Del Dodo lands strikes from half guard.
Del Dodo missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Pete gets full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Pete lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Del Dodo!

Del Dodo is looking to improve his position but Pete isn't that keen on the idea.
Del Dodo on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Del Dodo tries to get out of the position.
BOOM! Pete connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Pete lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Pete scores with a couple of good head shots there.

Pete wants to control the pace but Del Dodo is squirming around nicely.

Pete takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Del Dodo tries to lock up and control but Pete gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Pete cracks Del Dodo with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Pete with a couple of short strikes.
Pete has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Del Dodo is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Del Dodo knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Pete on the ground.
Del Dodo really wants to buck Pete off and get back to his feet.
Pete takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Del Dodo wants to hold on but Pete pushes him away.
Pete has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Del Dodo's face.
Pete lands a nice shot to the head.
Pete prevents Del Dodo from getting the reversal.

Del Dodo keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Texas Pete dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Pete fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Del Dodo throws a solid leg kick but Pete takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Del Dodo.

Del Dodo moves into the clinch successfully.

Pete wants to control from the top but Del Dodo keeps moving.

Del Dodo is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Pete wants to stand but Del Dodo has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Pete throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Del Dodo works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Pete stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Pete!
Pete circles away from the clinch attempt.
Del Dodo fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Del Dodo scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Pete wants to get back to his feet.

Del Dodo is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Pete defends it well.
Pete is trying to control but can't.
Ground and pound from Del Dodo.

Pete pushes Del Dodo off and gets back to his feet.

Nice takedown defense from Del Dodo. No joy for Pete on that attempt.
Del Dodo pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Pete tries for a takedown but Del Dodo sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Pedro Del Dodo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Texas Pete.

Del Dodo pushes Pete up against the cage in a clinch.
Del Dodo lands a left hand.
Pete unloads a knee to the mid-section. Del Dodo lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
Del Dodo blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.

Pete's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Pete swats away the attempt to clinch by Del Dodo.
Del Dodo misses with a wild body shot.
Del Dodo keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Del Dodo fails with the takedown

and Pete counters with a shoot takedown. Del Dodo fights it but they end up in guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Del Dodo punching from the bottom - just letting Pete know he's still in a fight.

Pete decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Pete feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Pete wants to pass the guard but Del Dodo is keeping the position.

Pete stands and steps away. Del Dodo gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Pete wants a takedown.
Pete wants to get back to striking at distance but Del Dodo won't allow it.

Del Dodo lands a body punch in the clinch.
The referee calls for Del Dodo to work.
Pete misses with a knee strike.
Pete is trying to drag Del Dodo to the mat but Del Dodo just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Del Dodo jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Pete walks away with a smile on his face. Del Dodo gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Pete wants to control from the top but Del Dodo keeps moving.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Del Dodo trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!

Texas Pete showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!


Del Dodo on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Pete. Pete obviously looking to wear him down.
Pedro Del Dodo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Del Dodo shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Del Dodo shoots in and drives through. Pete sprawls well.
Del Dodo tries to close the distance and clinch but Pete swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Pete looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Pete wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Del Dodo keeps control of Pete as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Pete wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Pete throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Del Dodo blocks it with crossed arms.
Del Dodo content to slow the pace in the clinch.

Del Dodo ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Del Dodo no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Pete slips nicely into half guard, despite the strikes coming from Del Dodo.

Pete is trying to control the action in half guard but Del Dodo is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Del Dodo is looking for a sweep. Pete is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Pete working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Del Dodo wants to improve his position but Pete is controlling well.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Pete feints and as Del Dodo raises his hands in defense, Pete changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Pete stands and steps away. Del Dodo gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

I've got Pete winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
