Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vincent Stone (ranked 4466 p4p, 4518 weight class) and Valja Se Po Podu (ranked 0 p4p, 511 weight class). Po Podu has chosen Cowboys from Hell as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Po Podu has a takedown stuffed.

Po Podu drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Stone controlling the position.
Po Podu slips nicely into half guard.
Po Podu looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Po Podu stops Stone from getting back to his feet.
Po Podu trying to control the pace.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Po Podu frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Stone is trying desperately to improve position.
Po Podu content just to control the position here.

It looks like Po Podu might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Po Podu thowing shots but they're missing.
Po Podu takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Stone is working to get back to half guard.
Po Podu controlling the pace for now.
Po Podu won't let Stone get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Po Podu looking to control and managing it successfully.
Po Podu avoids the attempt from Stone to control.

Let's hope that Po Podu has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
We're seeing a lot of stalling here from Po Podu.

Stone is in all sorts of trouble here.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Po Podu fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Stone is looking for a counter combo.

Stone fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Po Podu, pushing him back against the cage.
The referee is keeping an eye on Stone - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Po Podu prevents a takedown attempt there.
Stone stops a takedown attempt from Po Podu.
Stone lands a left hand that snaps the head of Po Podu backwards.
Po Podu has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Stone presses Po Podu against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Stone.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Stone tries to throw a body punch but Po Podu avoids it by throwing Stone back against the cage.
Po Podu prevents a body shot from Stone.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Stone.
Stone wants a takedown but no success here.
Stone doesn't land with the attempted body shot.

Stone's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Stone tries to close the distance and clinch but Po Podu swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Po Podu with the counter takedown but Stone avoids it easily.
Stone is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Po Podu misses with a low kick as Stone jumps back.
Po Podu tries a head kick but it misses.
Stone went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.

and Stone counters with a nice uppercut.

It looks like Valja Se Po Podu has been cut.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

Po Podu drives through with a takedown into Stone's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Po Podu passes Stone's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Po Podu performing his best blanket impression for a moment.

Po Podu moves into full mount! Stone won't be happy about that!
Po Podu throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Stone because Po Podu loaded up on that one.

Yet more stalling tactics from Po Podu.
Stone is desperately trying to improve his position but Po Podu has a good base and remains in mount.
Stone knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Po Podu on the ground.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Po Podu is continuing to stall.
Stone really trying hard to get back to half guard here.

And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Valja Se Po Podu showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The cut man is working on Valja Se Po Podu's cut.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Po Podu throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.

Po Podu closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Po Podu lands in his opponent's guard.
Stone looking to hit a scissor sweep but Po Podu is one step ahead there.
Po Podu controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

Po Podu thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Po Podu keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Stone missing with punches from the bottom.
Stone is trying to get back to full guard.
Po Podu passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Stone!
Po Podu won't let Stone get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Stone is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.

Po Podu looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Stone wants to hold on but Po Podu pushes him away.

Stone holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Po Podu tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Stone wants to try and get back to his feet.

Po Podu should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Vincent Stone has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Valja Se Po Podu is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
