Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Saxon Byrd (ranked 1369 p4p, 1792 weight class) and Moshe Weiss (ranked 181 p4p, 249 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Saxon Byrd!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Moshe Weiss!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Lou da Vinci and Jorge Garcia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Byrd closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Byrd misses with a body punch.
Weiss lands with a short head shot on the inside.

Weiss blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.

Byrd looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Weiss throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Byrd cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Weiss has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

and Byrd counters with a lovely shot to the body.

Weiss drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Byrd defends it well.
A low kick lands for Byrd.
Byrd throws a shot from downtown. Weiss moves away and avoids it.

Byrd throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.

Weiss closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Byrd throws a series of punches but Weiss avoids them all with ease.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Byrd motions for Weiss to come forward. Byrd throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Weiss uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Byrd has time to react.
Byrd takes the fight into the clinch.
Weiss has Byrd pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Byrd manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Weiss escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Saxon Byrd is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Weiss scores with a crisp jab that stopped Byrd in his tracks.
Weiss circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Byrd to the canvas! Byrd doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Weiss keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Moshe Weiss!
After the fight, Moshe Weiss was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
