Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Bert River (ranked 1598 p4p, 1440 weight class) and Brooke Marsden (ranked 179 p4p, 164 weight class). River comes to the cage accompanied by Five Finger Death Punch- Bad Company. Marsden has chosen Lunatic Fringe as his entrance music. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Brooke Marsden!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Marsden closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Marsden lands in his opponent's guard.
Marsden sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed River's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
River manages to get to full guard.

River has his foot on Marsden's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Marsden works his way back into a safe position though.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

River controls Marsden momentarily but Marsden frees himself.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

River has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Marsden should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, River has tightened it up now! Marsden should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
