Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Miggel Indian Boy (ranked 4632 p4p, 4206 weight class) and Gonzo Souza (ranked 484 p4p, 459 weight class). Gonzo Souza will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Miggel Indian Boy! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Gonzo Souza! The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Steve Smith and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Indian Boy throws a leg kick that is checked and Souza cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Indian Boy closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Souza quickly recovers to half guard. Souza is trying to get back to full guard. Souza has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Indian Boy is working away from the top position though. Indian Boy missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Indian Boy trying to control from half guard but Souza is working away. Souza is concentrating on defense, preventing Indian Boy from advancing position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Souza tries to kick Indian Boy off but Indian Boy keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Souza works his way to full guard. Good work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Indian Boy postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Indian Boy knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Souza on the ground. Souza keeping moving, preventing Indian Boy from controlling successfully. Indian Boy might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Souza is pulling down on Indian Boy's head to control his posture. Souza is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Indian Boy has his hands clasped together but Souza extends and breaks Indian Boy's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Souza.
